Durham Lifting has added the Multisec Multi-Point 34T Heavy Lifting Beam to its hire fleet, giving customers access to a high-capacity lifting solution without the lead time or capital cost associated with purchasing new equipment.

With a maximum capacity of 34 tonnes and an effective span of up to 10.5 metres, the beam has been developed for demanding multi-point lifts across construction, manufacturing, offshore, infrastructure and heavy engineering projects.

“We know that lifting heavy and complex loads presents significant challenges. The Multi-Point 34T beam is designed to handle demanding conditions while providing the flexibility needed for different lifting configurations.”

Ir. Wan Djawad, Technical Director

The beam maintains its full rated capacity when used with sling-to-vertical angles of 30° and 45°, supporting safe and efficient lifting across a range of rigging arrangements.

  • 34-tonne maximum lifting capacity
  • Effective span of up to 10.5 metres
  • Suitable for multi-point lifting arrangements
  • Full capacity at 30° and 45° sling angles
  • Integrated forklift pockets for site handling
  • Proof load tested before entering the hire fleet
The Multi-Point system provides controlled load distribution across several lifting points, making it suitable for complex and irregular loads.

Designed for practical site use

Integrated forklift pockets support safe transport and positioning around site, helping reduce handling time when preparing the beam for use or moving it between lifting locations.

The system has been designed and manufactured in accordance with relevant structural and lifting equipment requirements, including BS EN 1993-1-1 and BS EN 13155.

Before being added to the hire fleet, the beam underwent proof load testing at Durham Lifting’s Britannia Test House to verify its structural integrity and performance.

Specialist lifting equipment available for hire

The Multi-Point 34T Heavy Lifting Beam forms part of Durham Lifting’s wider hire range, which includes modular spreader beams, spreader frames, lifting beams, corner units, rigging equipment and specialist load-handling systems.

Hiring allows customers to access certified lifting equipment for individual projects, shutdowns and short-term operational requirements while receiving technical support from an experienced lifting team.

Where a standard hire system is not suitable, Multisec can also design and manufacture bespoke Multi-Point lifting beams for specific capacities, spans and load configurations.
