Established in 1996, Durham Lifting has steadily grown into a full-fledged lifting equipment provider with full design, fabrication and testing capabilities. Our team of lifting equipment professionals comprising of professional engineers, design engineers and technical personnel work together to provide a full range of products and services covering a broad customer base.
We engineer, manufacture, test and maintain a comprehensive range of cranes, lifting accessories such as our standard range of MultiSec spreader beam, custom lifting beams with capacities upwards of 3000 tonnes for the offshore renewable sector as well as a variety of material handling tools and equipment.
Durham Lifting is based in Middlesbrough in the North East of England, part of the Northern Powerhouse where the opportunity and potential for long term and sustainable growth in engineering especially in the offshore wind energy sector is increasing. Job Title: Lead Design Engineer
Durham Lifting are currently looking to recruit a Lead Design Engineer who has experience with 2D
and 3D draughting and modelling utilising Autodesk Inventor. Knowledge and experience in using
STAAD.Pro would be an added advantage.
The role would suit a candidate with experience particularly with beam designs to Eurocode 3 as a
minimum. Working knowledge to BS EN 13001 and BS EN 13155 would be favourable. The
candidate is expected to have experience working with and designing lifting equipment.
The candidate is expected to be a Chartered Engineer registered through relevant learned institutions
i.e. IMechE, IStructE
