Established in 1996, Durham Lifting has steadily grown into a full-fledged lifting equipment provider with full design, fabrication and testing capabilities. Our team of lifting equipment professionals comprising of professional engineers, design engineers and technical personnel work together to provide a full range of products and services covering a broad customer base.
We engineer, manufacture, test and maintain a comprehensive range of cranes, lifting accessories such as our standard range of MultiSec spreader beam, custom lifting beams with capacities upwards of 3000 tonnes for the offshore renewable sector as well as a variety of material handling tools and equipment.
Durham Lifting is based in Middlesbrough in the North East of England, part of the Northern Powerhouse where the opportunity and potential for long term and sustainable growth in engineering especially in the offshore wind energy sector is increasing.

Job Title: Lifting Equipment Insepctor – Middlesbrough
Durham Lifting is currently seeking a proven Lifting Equipment Inspector to join our dynamic team.
As a Lifting Equipment Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of various rigging and lifting equipment. You will have the opportunity to utilise your skills and knowledge to ensure the safety and optimal performance of various rigging and lifting equipment. By conducting meticulous inspections, repairs, and testing in compliance with industry regulations, you will directly contribute to the exceptional service we provide to our valued clients.

Job Title: Senior Design Engineer – Middlesbrough – up to 70k (DoE)

We’re looking for a Senior Design Engineer to work across both our Durham Lifting and Multisec brands. When you join us you’ll get the chance to develop ground-braking new products, you’ll be turning concepts into reality, and you’ll be dealing with customers and solving their complex problems. You’ll also get the chance to shape the careers of our future stars, as you’ll be responsible for managing, mentoring, and guiding them too
We’re looking for someone that’s familiar with Eurocode 3 (EC3) as a minimum, but if you’ve experience in either designing, or even working with lifting equipment, that would be perfect! This isn’t one of those roles where you’ll sit at a desk all day, so you’ll need to be someone that likes to roll their sleeves up and get involved
