Durham Lifting completed the design, manufacture and installation of a 2.5-tonne electric overhead travelling crane system for a valued customer, providing safe and efficient load handling across two working bays.
The system was installed on a 19.723-metre runway and fitted with an electric chain hoist and radio remote control, allowing operators to control lifting and crane travel from a safe, practical position within the work area.
A complete crane system designed around the facility
The crane was developed around the customer’s building layout, operational requirements and intended lifting duties. Spanning two bays, the system provides extensive coverage across the working area while supporting accurate load movement and positioning.
Durham Lifting’s engineers managed the project through the key stages, from crane design and component selection through to manufacture, installation, commissioning and final operational checks.
Electric hoisting and radio remote control
The crane was equipped with an electric chain hoist to provide dependable lifting performance for regular indoor operations. Radio remote control allows the operator to move with the load and maintain a clearer view of the lifting area.
