What is a gantry crane?
A gantry crane is a freestanding crane system supported by legs, rather than being fully supported by a building-mounted runway. It allows loads to be lifted and moved across a defined working area.
What is the difference between a gantry crane and an overhead crane?
An overhead crane is normally supported by the building structure or elevated runway beams. A gantry crane uses its own supporting legs, making it suitable where building-mounted runways are not practical.
What is a semi-gantry crane?
A semi-gantry crane is a crane system where one side is supported by a floor-running leg and the other side is supported by an elevated runway, often attached to or supported by the building structure.
Can gantry cranes be used outdoors?
