Manufactured exclusively by Durham Lifting in the UK, the iconic pink Multisec beams now stand among a select group of lifting solutions worldwide that meet the highest international standards for safety, engineering integrity, and offshore operational performance.

Issued by DNV at Høvik, Norway, this prestigious certification confirms full compliance with DNV-ST-0378: Offshore and Platform Lifting Appliances, one of the industry’s most stringent design and safety standards. The approval verifies that the Multisec range has undergone detailed assessment across all critical requirements, including structural design, global and local load analysis, material impact toughness, qualified welding processes, manufacturing quality control, and full traceability of every component.

This level of scrutiny ensures that every Multisec Modular Spreader Beam manufactured by Durham Lifting is engineered to perform safely and consistently in the world’s most challenging offshore and heavy industrial environments.

The DNV approval covers the complete core Multisec range—from the Multi-13 to the Multi-250 models—offering Safe Working Load capacities from 13 tonnes up to 250 tonnes. Importantly, the certification confirms that Multisec Modular Spreader Beams are approved for installation and use on any DNV-classed vessel or offshore unit, including crane vessels, pipe-lay and cable-lay ships, drilling platforms, heavy-lift barges, and floating production systems.

This opens significant opportunities for critical lifting operations across offshore wind, subsea construction, renewable energy installation, shipbuilding, and heavy engineering—where DNV-certified equipment is not only preferred but often mandatory.
