Covid-19 – Second Lockdown Update. Further to the Prime Minister’s recent announcement of a second lockdown in England we wanted to reach out and let you know about the steps we are taking to ensure we can continue to support our clients during these extraordinary times.

Recent Project – Padeye Proof Load Test 250 te
Durham Lifting were contracted by Enshore Subsea to supply labour and equipment in order to carry out proof load testing of 1 x 250 Te SWL Padeye. The test was conducted on-site on the bow of the JDC Subsea Construction Vessel – Assister.

55 Years in Lifting
Frank Pickersgill, Chairman of Durham Lifting – one of the founding manufacturers of Modular Spreader Beams in the UK since 1990, provides an insight into his 55 years working within the Lifting Industry.

Recent Project – Multi-Point Lifting Frame 700kg swl
Durham Lifting were contracted by Hitachi Rail to design, manufacture, paint and proof load test 1 off 700 kg swl multi-point lifting frame. The lifting frame had to operate within reduced head room and included 10 lifting points to ensure the integrity of the HVAC unit being lifted.

Recent Project – Removal of Three Boilers
Durham Lifting were contracted by Darlington Borough Council to remove 3 off 10 tonne boilers from the Town Hall. The location of the boilers were in a confined boiler room with restricted space with the only feasible exit being via a raised louvre into an external car parking area.
